A Business Case is study into whether something is worth doing. Your motivation for wanting to do something may be altruism, recognition, fame or glory, but we concentrate on financial goals. Will an idea make you money? To begin with, you probably need to plough money in. To borrow. To seek investment, where you trade a share of your venture for money now, when you need it most.
A business case is not a business plan. A business plan may cover multiple products and setting up a company. It represents a considerable amount of work; it may run to dozens of pages. On the other hand, a business plan is relatively simple and concise. It will tell you whether it is worth generating a business plan.
